After 15 years, Apple is changing its CEO at a time when it has one of the most successful periods in its history behind it. Tim Cook managed to turn a billion-dollar company into a giant with a price tag
in the trillions. His successor John Ternus is thus taking over a technology giant that must find another major source of growth. While Cook built a large part of his strategy around iPhones and the entire ecosystem, Ternus is entering the era of artificial intelligence and new types of devices. The ability to catch up with competitors in AI while also creating another major product may determine whether his era will be equally successful for Apple.

Just a few years ago, Shein was one of the largest companies in the global e-commerce network. The Chinese company managed to combine low prices, a flexible supply chain and social media, gaining a huge number of customers. It is currently facing several obstacles at once. Sales growth is slowing, costs are rising and new customs rules in the US and Europe directly affect Shein's ability to offer cheap products. Competition, regulations and controversies are adding to the pressure and its entry onto the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is therefore coming at a significantly less favourable moment.
